Physician Assistant - Sleep Health
Heather Grote is a certified Physician Assistant with nine years of experience in Urgent Care and Family Medicine. She is an Idaho native who grew up playing sports and exploring the wild outdoors and mountainous landscapes of this beautiful state. She followed her love for basketball to Northwest Nazarene University where she started as a point guard for 4 years while earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Soon after, she married her adventure partner and started her educational journey to become a PA-C, obtaining her Master’s degree at Idaho State University. Following graduation, Heather secured a position in the Urgent Care at Primary Health Medical Group where she worked until 2020. She most previously worked at Saltzer Health in both Urgent Care and Family Medicine. With the unfortunate closure of Saltzer Health March of 2024, Heather was eager to seize the opportunity to join the Everything Sleep Idaho team!
As a provider, Heather recognizes that the relationship between a provider and a patient is complex; entangled with personal uniqueness, fear/vulnerability, and expectations. She enjoys partnering with patients as a strong advocate for them – providing evidence based education, active listening, and encouragement to achieve their wellness goals. Heather strives to create a safe environment where patients can share their sleep concerns and leave feeling cared for and heard.
